Provence

Curating a nine-day celebration hosted in Provence for a private client’s 60th birthday was a challenge we enthusiastically embraced! An intimate week for 24 guests was hosted at the beautiful Le Mas de Poiriers, located on an island in the Rhone River near the Medieval city of Avignon.

Highlights included visits to châteaux and wineries, visiting the hill-top towns of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gordes, swimming beneath the Roman aqueduct, a classic car rally and of course, a visit to the lavender fields which were in full bloom.

The birthday dinner was enjoyed beneath the stars in the gardens of Les Mas de Poiriers, accompanied by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, and synchronised swimmers were a feature of the pool after party. Guests also enjoyed an olive oil and wine tasting lunch at Château d’Estoublon, a private dinner at chef Jean-Francois Piéges’ Provencal restaurant, Clover Gordes, at Airelles La Bastide, and the week concluded with an intimate lunch in the pear orchard at Les Mas de Poiriers.
